My heart fattened like a fleshy waxed moon - cracking me open a little more with every cascade gushing down my crying cheeks. Such a bittersweet release. Broken, raw and humbled I surrendered into the cool spouts of temple waters.
My life as I knew it was about to be released - all that had past was completed, finished - kaput. That includes my role as live in parent to my beautiful and laconic teenage daughter, to a life by the sea and the sound of sunrise kookaburra's welcoming the day.
Time for a new chapter - and a thrilling one in Ubud Indonesia - filled with pungent odours of incense, vibrant colours, deeply embedded ritual and an honouring of the Goddess that the west has forgotten like an ancient name buried under the dust. Nothings perfect and life presents many challenges - the greatest being to stare at ourselves with love.
