I felt blessed panting up the sacred Balinese hills in the pre-dawn mist. Our party celebrated with meditation, yoga and prayer for the feminine moon and waters of Lake Batur with local Balinese Yoga and spiritual teacher Manis from Pranasanti Tours. She's a delightful spirit and is on a mission to replant and flower bali and re-educate the Balinese about looking after their own backyard.
My heart sang louder still as we approached the western peak of the mountain - we could see the many lights of tourists trekking up nearby Mnt Batur. Lucky us were the only ones here overlooking three peaks, Batur Valley and it's vast lake.
Connecting with the natural forces is one of the greatest elixirs for 21st century maladies. Bali has it's own brand of natural magic that invites you in or spits you out. It fast-tracks your inner world with immediate feedback externally - giving you the direct reflection in the people, places and opportunities that show up. The adventure continued down the lush green smash of a valley to the shores of Lake Batur.
